James Leon McAllister, Sr.
James Leon McAllister, Sr., age 91, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at his residence.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Claud and Lula Ann Cole McAllister; wife, Colleen Sosebee McAllister; two daughters, Rena McAllister Woodward and Marie McAllister Allen; and son, James McAllister.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Lamar Womac of Dalton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, T. W. and Margie Sosebee of Dalton and Dennis Sosebee of Marietta; grandchildren, Laura and Chris Woodward of San Diego, Ezackery Womac and Ethan Womac, both of Dalton; and great-grandchild, Brinkley Maddison Womac.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 10, at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Dr. Charlie Bridges officiating.
Burial will be at Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 10, from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or the Autism Awareness Association.
