Patrick Davis To Kick Off McLemore Songwriters Series

  • Friday, May 14, 2021

McLemore announced the kick off of “The McLemore Songwriters Series”, a monthly concert series taking place from May through October, featuring six performances by some of the most acclaimed songwriters from Nashville and beyond.

The first artist to kick off the series will be musician Patrick Davis. The concert will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 20 at the Beir Garden at McLemore.

"Davis is a gifted singer-songwriter whose debut solo album, Chances Are, was co-produced by Hootie & the Blowfish guitarist Mark Bryan," organizers said.

"Patrick co-wrote 'Dixie Lullaby' for Pat Green, which landed a place in the Country Music Top 20. This opened the door for a series of songwriting collaborations with Jewel, Darius Rucker and Guy Clark, and invitations to tour with Vince Gill, Darius Rucker and Hootie & the Blowfish.

"Davis’s most recent creation, Couch Covers, was developed during a series of podcasts in which he performed over 40 covers while being at home due to the pandemic. The resulting collection is a unique twist on classic songs, giving them refreshed meaning and life."

“The McLemore Songwriters Series offers an intimate evening of music on Lookout Mountain for all individuals who enjoy the gifts of emerging and established singer-songwriters, and those who are fans of great music,” said Duane Horton, president of Scenic Land Company. “We are thrilled for Patrick to kick this series off and are excited to offer this unparalleled experience for our members and guests.”

Tickets for the May 20 performance are on sale now, and advanced tickets are $30 per person. Tickets sold the day of each show will be $40 per person. Season passes are available for $150 per person. Due to the limited number of available seats, McLemore recommends purchasing tickets in advance. Outdoor seating in the McLemore Beir Garden is limited to 130 people.

Upcoming performances include Ken Block and Andrew Copeland of Sister Hazel on June 17, Channing Wilson on July 15, Lauren Jenkins on Aug. 19, James Otto on Sept. 19 and Kristian Bush of Sugarland will close out the series on Oct. 21.

McLemore is located at 32 Clubhouse Lane in Rising Fawn.
