Mother Ida Mae Green Bonds, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021.
She was born on May 31, 1935 to the late Dennis and Julia Knox Green in Chatsworth, Ga. She was retired from the Dalton Public Schools Lunch Room at Roan Street School, and retired for over 25 years from Evans and Black Carpet Mill. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
Mother Ida Bonds was the widow of John Franklin Bonds being married for over 36 years. One sister preceded her, Ollie Mae Whitlow.
Survivors are her loving and devoted four children, John Ben Bonds, Don Allen (Janet) Bonds, of Dalton, Georgia, Timothy Lane (Felecia) Bonds of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Lisa Bonds Davis of Dalton; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maxine Parker of Dalton, and Mary Ann (David) Brooks of Chattanooga; sister-in-law, Wilma Bonds of Dalton; brother-in-law, Clarence Bonds of Chattanooga; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives; dear friend, Mrs. Mattie McDade, special friends, Patricia Mathis, Tregg Hardson, and other friends.
A homegoing celebration will be Saturday, Sept. 25, at 11 a.m. at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 2014 Martin L. King, Jr. Blvd., Dalton, Georgia 30721 with Pastor Edward Hoggs as eulogist.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.
Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery.
