Bertha Smith
Bertha Smith, 92, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at her residence.
She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, where she served on the Mother’s Board.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louise and Grady Palmer; children, Morris Smith, Victoria Bond, and Norman Smith; siblings, Earnest Palmer, Louise Davis, Julia Palmer, and George Palmer.
Survivors include her sons, Raymond Smith of Huntsville, Al., and Calvin Smith of Norfolk, Va.; daughter, Gloria Robinson of Chattanooga; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Bertha will lie in state on Tuesday, Jan. 25, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Wayne Johnson as the eulogist.
Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
