Seven Area Soccer Players Honored With TSWA All-State Selection

McMinn Co., East Hamilton, CSAS, GPS, Baylor Athletes Get Nod

 The Tennessee Sports Writers Association released its 2021 All-State Girls Soccer teams Saturday night and seven area players were named to the squads.

In Division I, Class AA, McMinn County’s Allison Hansford, a senior forward was honored. In Class AA, East Hamilton sophomore Diamond Stephens, a mid-fielder, was tapped, while in Class A mid-fielder/forward Cheyenne Frye, a CSAS sophomore was named.

In Division II, GPS had a paor of student-athletes honored in the AA classification, senior mid-fielder Gardner Rustand and junior forward Kennedy Ball. Baylor senior forward Zoey Mize was also nonored.

In the A classification, Elle Lam, a senior defender from Silverdale was an honoree.
