The Greater Chattanooga Fellowship of Christian Athlete’s Night of Impact Fundraising Banquet will feature former University of Georgia and NFL Tight End Benjamin Watson along with his wife Kirsten and will take place on Monday, February 28 at 6:30 pm at the Colonnade Center in Ringgold.

Benjamin Watson retired from football in 2020 after an illustrious 16-year NFL career.   He was drafted by the New England Patriots 32nd overall in the first round of the 2004 draft and the team won Super Bowl XXXIX in his rookie season.  He began his college career at Duke before transferring to Georgia.

In addition to the Patriots, Watson played professionally for the Browns, Saints and Ravens and amassed over 6000 receiving yards and 44 touchdowns.  Watson was a college football analyst on the SEC network(ESPN) during the 2021 college football season.

Kirsten Watson played softball at the University of Georgia where the couple met and began dating.  They were married in 2005 and have seven children.  Together they established the One More Foundation which is dedicated to spreading love and hope to “one more” soul.  Both are devoted followers of Jesus Christ who have been active with FCA for much of their lives.  Benjamin Watson has authored two books – “Under Our Skin” and “The New Dad’s Playbook”.

Of the Watsons, FCA Director Jay Fowler stated, “We are thrilled to have this amazing couple, Benjamin and Kirsten Watson, come to speak for FCA!  Benjamin’s father, Ken Watson was a dynamic pastor who spoke frequently at FCA camps and retreats when Ben was growing up and he and Kirsten met at the University of Georgia when both were involved with FCA.  They will bring a powerful message to share with all in attendance – a message of faith and hope as together they pursue honoring Jesus Christ in all they do.”

The Chattanooga FCA serves over 60 campuses (college, high school, middle school) in five counties in Southeast Tennessee and the Night of Impact is the largest fundraising event of the year.

For more information on how you can sponsor a table or purchase individual tickets, please go to www.chattanoogafca.org or call Jay Fowler at 423 309-4255.
