Bernice Kathlene Lamberth, 91, of Trenton, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4 at Moore Funeral Home in Trenton, with Brother Michael Burge officiating. Burial will follow at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 4–8 p.m. and Sunday from noon until the funeral hour.
Bernice was born to the late Johnny and Minnie Tinker Barton on June 10, 1931 in Shiloh, Al. She enjoyed spending time with her family and tending to her flowers. She was an avid church-goer who loved gospel music. Bernice was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by husbands, James Ott and Sel Lamberth; children, Barbara Sumner and Larry Ott; and siblings, Thelma Imagene Hughs and Dalpha Young.
Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Marsha (Kenny) Phillips; sisters, Darlene Childress and Joyce (Gene) Stephens; brother, Doyce (Martha) Barton; grandchildren, Billie Rhodes, Mary (Brent) Johnson, Darrell Ott, Amanda Holloway, Jason Ott, James (Lizzy) Ott, Kerry Phillips and Joseph Phillips; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
