Diane Blanks
Diane Blanks, 74, of Hixson, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022.
She was born and raised in Hixson, the only child to parents Jim and Georgia Martin.
Diane was Ms. Hixson High School in 1965 where she also played basketball.
She married Freddie Blanks and was an amazing and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Diane was always active at church playing the piano and organ and working with kids. She enjoyed cooking but not as much as everyone else enjoyed partaking of her cooking.
Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Blanks, and her parents Jim and Georgia Martin.
She is survived by her son, Brunson, daughter Val (Matt) Stubblefield, and three grandchildren, Wyatt, Josie, and Nathan.
Funeral services will be conducted from the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 8, with Pastor Terry Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time at North Chapel.
