More than 230 construction professionals gathered in celebration at the Associated General Contractors (AGC) East Tennessee Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony on March 8, 2024, to usher in new board members and to recognize outstanding contributions to the construction industry. The event, called Steel Toe Boots & Stilettos, also served as a fundraiser for the Construction Career Center, a construction vocational school for high school students and adults.
After completing his two-year term as chair of AGC East Tennessee, Jason Medeiros, president of Pointe General Contractors, passed the gavel to Jerod Gilley, vice president of Construction Consultants, who will serve as chair through 2026. Arch Willingham, President of TU Parks, will serve as vice chair, and Nic Cornelison, president of P&C Construction, will serve as secretary/ treasurer. Jason Geraci, vice president of DBS Corporation is rolling onto the board of directors.

AGC East Tennessee also recognized excellence in the industry during an awards ceremony at the event. Award winners included:

· Matthew Jeffery, president of Chattanooga Floor Care, Excellence in Industry Innovation
