Myona Mahan, 84, of Ranger, Georgia, departed this life on Sunday evening, March 24, 2024, at Advent Health Redmond Hospital in Rome, Georgia.
She was born January 31, 1940, in Canton, Ga., a daughter of the late Pink and Colene Hulsey Rampley.
She was also preceded in death by a son James Clyde Mahan, grandson Nathan Mahan, brothers Alford and Ervin Rampley, sister Elsie Lee Hancock.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Larry Mahan of the residence; son, Michael Mahan of Fairmount, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Yademer and Lewis Lomax of Dalton, GA; great grandchildren, Alexis Mahan, James Mahan, Kolman Davis.
Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Myona Mahan will be held on Friday, March 29, at 1 p.m. from the Ponders Fairmount Chapel. Interment will follow in the Salacoa Baptist Church Cemetery with Gabby Franklin, Dakota Southerland, Doug McDaniel, Brent McDaniel, Scotty Childers and Timothy Shipman serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday.
