EV drivers can now charge their cars while visiting the pavilion and dog park by Finley Stadium with the opening of a new Electrify America charging station featuring six hyper-fast chargers – capable of speeds up to 350 kW.

Officials said, "Customers can conveniently pay by credit or debit card at the charger or via the Electrify America’s mobile app. The mobile app also allows users to locate a charger, find pricing, initiate a charge and check charging progress, allowing customers to enjoy the activities at the pavilion, dog park and Finley Stadium while their vehicle charges."

Brian Wright, executive director of Finley Stadium and the pavilion, noted that the addition of the chargers is needed as more options are available for drivers. “We’re always considering additional amenities to our offerings and reaching out to EV drivers makes perfect sense.”

He said that they have collaborated in providing space to Electrify America, the nation’s largest open DC fast charging network in the U.S. Currently, the company has more than 900 stations with over 4,000 DC fast chargers installed in North America with stations available in 47 states plus the District of Columbia and five provinces in Canada.

The six chargers are located at 1826 Reggie White Boulevard and are anticipated to be online within the week.
