Deborah "Debbie" Jo Meredith passed away on February 3, 2025.

She loved her Lord, her family and her church. She had a passion for books as a retired librarian and was a joy to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Betty Meredith.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Phillip Gilles and her sister, Jennifer (Tony) Parrish, her nephews, Jonathan (Anna), Joshua (Rachel) and her great nieces, Meredith Lee, Ruby Caroline and Lydia Kathleen and great nephews, Ethan Joseph and Reid Michael, who all lovingly called her “Auntie”.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 12 p.m. at the St. Elmo Presbyterian Church, 4400 St. Elmo Ave., Chattanooga, Tn. 37409 with Pastor Emeritus Cal Boroughs and Rev. Daniel Wells officiating.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, Feb. 17, at 12:30 p.m. at Forest Hills Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, Feb. 15, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Elmo Presbyterian Church in Debbie’s memory.
