Richard “Dickey” Albert Henley, Jr., 57, of Signal Mountain, passed away at his residence on Thursday, April 3, 2025.

Dickey was born in Chattanooga on July 24, 1967. He graduated from Red Bank High School. After graduation, he served his country in the Tennessee Air National Guard 241 EI Squadron, with several deployments. Dickey was a member of IBEW 175 and worked with Lawson Electric.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Inogine Henley and David and Helen Mincey; life partner, Valerie Reagan; step-father and best friend, Charles Reed; and stepmother, Voleda Henley.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Richard A. Henley Sr. and Charlotte Reed; brother, Todd (Christie) Henley; sister, Valerie Reed Sanders; and nieces and nephews, Taylor (Courtney) Henley, Morgan Henley, and Abbie Sanders.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 8, from 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday, April 9, from 12-1 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson.

Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
