Metro Dalton Reports February Growth In Labor Force, Employment And Jobs

The Georgia Department of Labor announced Thursday that the two-county Dalton Metropolitan Statistical Area recorded month over month growth of its labor force and an unemployment rate of 4.0%, down two-tenths over the previous month. I recently petitioned the Stormwater Regulations Board of Chattanooga for a reduction in the $2,019 stormwater fee assessed against our neighborhood’s recreational HOA. The runoff from 40 homes in the community flows down to the HOA retention pond. Less than 10 percent of the pond’s water ever enters the city’s stormwater infrastructure. The Chattanooga Lookouts continued their blistering start with an afternoon victory at the Knoxville Smokies by the score of 8-4. With the win Chattanooga has now won six straight and have won fourteen of their first seventeen games. They have a six game lead in the division thanks in large part to their league leading pitching staff who have allowed only 66 runs combined in the team's first seventeen games.
