Sarah Ruth Ploeger, 83, of Hixson, died on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, in a local hospital.
She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and was a member at Hixson United Methodist Church.
She and her late husband, Fred Ploeger, were the owners and operators of Ploeger Grocery in Hixson for several years.
She was the daughter of the late Tom and Jennie May Gothard Eustice.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Ploeger Martin; son, Frank D. Ploeger, both of Hixson; brother, Chaney Eustice of Soddy-Daisy; sister, Mary Alice Cain of South Carolina; three granddaughters, Billie S. Allen, Sylvia K. Martin, and Marcia G. Martin; grandson, Scott Ploeger, and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the North Chapel with the Rev. Randy Martin officiating.
Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
