Lula Bell Mangum Snyder, 93, of East Ridge, died on Friday, June 17, 2005, in a local nursing home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dock and Julia Mangum; husband, James V. Snyder, and four brothers, Miles, Herbert, Larry and Harry Mangum.
She was a former member of East Lake/East Ridge Baptist Church and a member of Bull Street Baptist Church in Savannah, GA. Lula was a member of the East Lake Order of the Eastern Star where she served as Worthy Matron and Chaplain. She worked as a seamstress at the Frances Shop for 20 years.
She is survived by her children, James (Joyce) Snyder, Paul (Marlene) Snyder, Charles (Liz) Snyder, Delores Ellis, Peggy (Joe) Liebe; nine grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at noon on Monday at the South Crest Chapel with Dr. Ronnie Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Visitation is from 12–8 p.m. on Sunday at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory.
