John Spencer Cartwright, 65, of Chattanooga, died at his home Monday, June 19, 2006. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, John L. and Deliah Murphy Cartwright; one daughter, Tammy Benton; five brothers, Taylor, Ralph, Don, Richard and Carl Cartwright; and two sisters, Ann Edditon and Opal Watkins.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Ingram Cartwright; two daughters, Sharon Robbins and Jennifer Phillips; two brothers, Buddy and David Cartwright; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, at 2 p.m. in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Johnson Cemetery, Decatur, TN.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. and Thursday until the hour of service at the funeral home.
