Vernon “Judd” Judge
Vernon “Judd” Judge, 89, of Soddy Daisy, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at his residence.
Vernon was born and raised in Scottsboro, Al., where he left to work in Chattanooga at Coca Cola and later became a barber alongside his loving wife of 50 years, Jeannie. They were co-owners of Judd & Jeannie’s Hair Care in North Chattanooga. Vernon is of Baptist faith, loved cruises, his family, and playing musical instruments.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carolyn Judge; parents, Howard and Ida Judge; sisters, Lucille Steele, Dot Berhime and Opal Anderson; and brother, Harold Judge.
Vernon is survived by his wife, Jeannie; daughters, Marlene Brooks, Shawnee (Rick) Ward; son, Brian (Kim) Wheaton; brother, Bill ”Shorty” (Suzette) Judge; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 3, from 4-7 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson.
The funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Entombment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
