The Covenant tennis team took on Piedmont in the CCS Semifinals at McCallie School in a rematch of the 2023 and 2024 CCS Championships, both of which Covenant won. Today it was Piedmont's time to shine as it took down the Scots 4-1 to advance to the Championship match tomorrow.

Caleb Domkowski and Ben Onufrock were up 5-4 against Simon Johnstone and Yan Wassmer Navarro in the No. 1 slot when the match was called.
In the No. 2 position, Brock Boehling and Graham Hayes had a tight loss to Charles Parnell and Connor Phelps 4-6.
Gill Dunn and Jackson Orsega fell short against Mark Backeberg and Rohan Kavali 1-6 as Piedmont earned the doubles point.
SINGLES:
Onufrock got Covenant on the board with a 6-2, 7-5 singles win in the No.
1 ranked match against Navarro.
Domkowski suffered his lone singles loss against conference opposition this season, falling to Parnell in three sets 3-6, 6-4, 3-6 in the No. 2 position.
In the No. 3 slot, Boehling was not able to come through against Bryce VanOrder, losing 6-7 (7-1), 3-6.
Piedmont earned the win as Orsega was forced to retire in the No. 4 position against Backeberg, when the match was in the third set.
Hayes was down 3-4 and Dunn was up 4-2 in the No. 5 and No. 6 slots when the match was called.
