  • Friday, April 25, 2025

The Hamilton County Commission and Hamilton County Schools Board of Education have made the decision to postpone the joint meeting originally scheduled for Monday.

This meeting was intended to discuss the Hamilton County Schools FY25-26 budget. Both bodies have mutually agreed to reschedule this meeting until after a final version of the budget has been voted on by the Board of Education.

The Hamilton County Board of Education will be hosting a community listening session on Tuesday, followed by a meeting of the Board’s Finance Committee on Wednesday, during which the Hamilton County Schools administration will present version 2 of the proposed budget. The Board’s final vote on the budget will take place during the Board’s meeting on Wednesday, May 8.

Postponing this meeting ensures that both elected bodies are able to engage in the most productive, informed, and collaborative discussions on behalf of students, families, and community members of Hamilton County.

A rescheduled date for the joint meeting will be announced following the board’s final vote on May 8.
