The Women of Faith Ministry of Second Missionary Baptist Church announces the 2025 Fashion Show and Luncheon featuring a variety of styles highlighting the theme, “A Day of Cultural Fusion in Fashion.” The pre-Mother’s Day Fashion Show Luncheon will be held on Saturday, May 10 at 1 p.m. at SMBC, 2305 E. Third St. in Chattanooga.
Officials said, "An engaging mix of professional and amateur models from Baby Boomers to Zoomers (aka Gen Z-ers) will stroll the red-carpeted runway. During the course of the show, fashions will be featured for four popular scenes from sporty casual, to Sunday’s best, to formal wear, while climaxing with a promenade of authentic African attire.
"The goal of the Women of Faith Ministry is two-fold: 1) to be of service to women of the community; and 2) to enhance the spiritual growth of its members.
The Ministry achieves its’ goals through programs such as a community-wide baby shower that provides essentials to underserved expectant mothers; the adopt-a-family project; care package donations for residents of Chattanooga Room in the Inn; and monthly dinner preparation for Ronald McDonald House guests.
"Additionally, the ministry hosts an annual spiritual enrichment retreat, a monthly book club featuring inspirational authors, weekly prayer and praise calls, holiday crafting workshops and occasionally an offsite fellowship excursion."
