Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Holds Arbor Day Celebration

The Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. partnered with Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center for a tree-planting initiative in honor of National Arbor Day. 

The chapter hosted two events, engaging Youth Leadership Institute participants and enhancing the landscape with additional plantings. 

It is the third year working in partnership with Reflection Riding, 

Officials said, "We are commited to environmental stewardship. Pi Omega contributes to the international goal set by President Danette Anthony Reid—planting 3,100 trees annually through 2026."
