Gene A. Hawkins, 72, died Tuesday, August 21, 2007.
He was of the Baptist faith. He was retired from Hubbuch Glass Company and was a member of Local Union 1189.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emory Hawkins and Wenonah Cooper Hawkins; and two stepsons, Robert and Andy Long.
He is survived by his wife, Virgie Hawkins, of Trenton; two sons, Rick Hawkins, Naples, Fla., Scott Hawkins, Geraldine, Ala.; one granddaughter, Taylor Jade Hawkins; one stepdaughter, Rita Seal, Mooresburg, Tn.; one stepson, Mike Long, Trenton; two sisters, Patty Buckner, Dayton, Tn., and Michelle Russell, Knoxville; one brother, Raleigh Hawkins, Chattanooga; one aunt, Irene Long, Chattanooga; and several step-grandchildren.
The body was cremated, and there will be no visitation.
