Ruby Dean Bryson, 76, of Dalton, Ga., died on Monday afternoon, Nov. 9, 2009 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family.
Ruby was born July 4, 1933 in Murray County, Georgia, a daughter of the late Albert Joe Rose and Hazel Ingle Weaver; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Bryson; a son, Steve Bryson; sisters, Irene Blackwell and Jodie Cook; and a brother, Hubert Rose.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Evelyn Cartwright of Mineral Bluff, Ga., Charles Allen Bryson and Sherry Holland of Dalton; daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Louie Sandidge of Dalton, Virginia Bryson of Ringgold, and Donna and Bruce Wiley of Dalton; sisters, Jean Mercer and Elizabeth Skidmore both of Dalton, and Ann Knowles of Chatsworth; 11 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life o Mrs. Ruby D. Bryson will be held Thursday, Nov. 12, at 2 p.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Reverend Bret Yeager and Reverend Marty Cooper officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Center Valley Cemetery in Murray County, Ga., with Jody Cartwright, Joshua Cartwright, Jamie Chadwick, Anthony Ray, Tommy Weatherington and Danny Skiffen serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11.
