Biden Showed Himself As Rude, Bullying - And Response (5)

  • Friday, October 12, 2012

Vice President Biden played to the split screen cameras last night.  How was his demeanor described nationally: boorish, dismissive, bullying, rude, ridiculing, sneering, laughing when tragedies discussed and constantly interrupting.

This man is only a heartbeat away from ruling our nation. Can this be an effective approach in dealing with the terroist of the world and haters of America?  Is this the face of America we want the world to see?

Last night, Mr. Biden truly showed his stupidity, his lack of facts, and most evident of all – his lack of respect.  Those smirks, laughs and disses were not appealing, they were not amusing, he came across as an extremely arrogant person totally ignorant of the importance of the office of vice president.

He’s a perfect “mate” for Mr. Obama.  He and Obama are not free-market, pro-growth, pro-defense or pro life.  Messrs. Romney and Ryan are.  Clear and simple.

I am so happy there’s only one vice presidential debate – I cannot tolerate any more of Mr. Biden.

What a surprise.  Republicans everywhere are upset that Mr. Biden made Mr. Ryan look foolish.  No mention of the lack of facts or details from Mr. Ryan.  No mention of the smug look on Mr. Ryan's face.

Spare us your commentary.  Of course you're upset your candidate got dismantled, but at least handle it with some class like the Democrats did after Mr. Romney demolished President Obama.

They blamed Mr. Obama for his poor performance, not Mr. Romney for taking advantage of it.

Excuse me, Biden showed how to hand someone their tail when humongous lies are constantly pushed. One of the lies that gets under my skin is that the Democrats had full control of Congress for two years. Bull. Until Al Franken was sworn in on July 7, 2009 the Democrats had 59 seats in the Senate. After that it was technically up to 60, but Ted Kennedy hadn't cast a vote in months and was unable to vote due to illness. He died a few weeks later and was replaced by Paul Kirk on Sept. 24, finally bringing the Democratic majority up to 60 in practice as well as theory.

After that the Senate was in session for 11 weeks before taking its winter recess, followed by three weeks until Scott Brown won Kennedy's seat in the Massachusetts special election. So that means Democrats had an effective filibuster-proof majority for about 14 weeks. After that the Republicans launched a concerted effort to filibuster every piece of legislation that might be perceived as positive by the public.

Proof? Google “record number of filibusters in Senate” and see for yourself. After the mid-term election when the Republicans took control of the House of Representatives, they came up with a new set of smoke and mirror tricks by deliberately passing bills they knew would never be voted out of committee in the Senate (much less the chance of making it to the Senate floor) and then blaming the Democrats for not being bipartisan.

It is amusing to see local Democrats rally behind Vice President Biden's debate appearance when even the liberal media branded his performance as "obnoxious," "rude," "disrespectful," "demented," and even "bizarre." If Biden's conduct was any indication of the current administration's statesmanship and professionalism, it quickly became apparent why the Obama administration has been unable to find common ground with those serving in the Congress or Senate since 2008.

I also would like for someone to point me to any historical document showing that any previous Vice Presidential debate resulted in interrupting a co-debater 82 times during an hour and a half event. Perhaps there is additional documentation showing us that a supposedly neutral "moderator" saw fit to interrupt a co-debater 31 times over the same period - even as he was speaking. And before we get into the Romney interruptions during the Presidential Debate, remember that Obama received four additional minutes of debate time than Romney, leaving limited time for rebuttals in some topics.

I believe Proverbs 29:9 best describes what we saw from Biden during the Vice Presidential Debate: "If a wise man has an argument with a fool, the fool only rages and laughs, and there is no quiet."

Anyone who can honestly say they are proud of Biden's brutish, childish performance shows precisely why the citizens of this nation need to consider the alternative in 2012.

Aulcie Smith, I am really confused about your statement about how lies are being told. Let's look at the facts on that topic. There were two main points that Biden tried to drive home during the debate. First was that he never voted in favor of the war in Iraq or the invasion of Afghanistan. He said that at seven different times during the event. Well, only problem is that he voted in favor of both of them. So he lied on that topic. Secondly he said that the administration did not know more security had been requested for the embassy. Well not only has they White House press secretary said they were aware of it, there are several sworn testimonies stating that same thing as well. So the two main points he tried to dive home in that 90-minute debacle have been proven he lied about. Let us also look at the amount of lies that have been told during the campaign.

After the first debate between Obama and Romney the President came out the next day and called Romney a liar about his tax plan. The question I first has was if he really felt that way why not do it while 48 million people were watching on it TV instead of in front of a crowd of a couple thousand of his followers? The answer as we all know now is because his campaigned lied when the said the economic professor said that because he came out the next day and refuted it on CNN. Every vicious attack on Romney the Obama campaign (which he said he would never do) has been proven to be a lie. Yes there has been a lot of lying during this campaign but if you will open your eyes it is easy to see who is doing it?

The facts are the Democrats had control of both the senate and house your own numbers even show that. So how exactly is that a myth? Are you aware that there are 27 bills passed by Congress that are sitting in the Democrat controlled senate awaiting a vote? Some have been there well over a year but the senate has refused to take any action on them. There has not been the level of cooperation from both parties that Americans want to see. The reason for this is simple as well. Never before had a President asked and demanded Congress to vote on a bill without being able to study and read the bill as he did with Obamacare. Everyone now knows what he said about the bill was false and the Supreme Court said it was not just a tax but the largest tax increase on the middle class in U.S. history.
