Salvation Army Has Free Christmas Concert Dec. 9

  • Wednesday, November 28, 2012

The Salvation Army has coordinated a free public Christmas concert as a way of saying “Thank You” to the community for its outpouring of support this season.  Ring the Joyous Bells, A Gift of Christmas will be presented on Sunday, Dec. 9, at 5 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 401 Gateway Ave.

Performing in the concert are the Jericho Brass Band, First Baptist Church Choir, the Scenic City Choir, the Metropolitan Bell Choir and songs from the Salvation Army production of Behold the Lamb of God.

“This is one of the most generous communities I have been blessed to serve in,” says Major Algerome Newsome, area commander for the local Salvation Army. “We wanted to bless the community in return for their outpouring of love and support with a special Christmas concert.”

All are welcome to attend this community concert.  For more information on Ring the Joyous Bells, A Gift of Christmas community concert or the Salvation Army, visit www.csarmy.org
