Grand Opening Set For Morning Pointe's 20th Community In Brentwood

  • Tuesday, December 4, 2012

Morning Pointe Assisted Living and Independent Healthcare Properties, LLC (IHP) announce the grand opening celebration date for Morning Pointe of Brentwood, a new assisted living and Alzheimer’s memory care community in Brentwood, Tennessee. The 55,000-square-foot facility, situated on eight acres, will feature 73 private apartments, including 20 apartments dedicated to Alzheimer’s memory care. The $10-million project marks Morning Pointe’s 20th community in the southeast.

“We are excited about being a part of the Brentwood community and already we are seeing enormous support for our services from residents who desire to stay active and enjoy the benefits of assisted living,” said Greg A. Vital, president and CEO of Independent Healthcare Properties.”

The grand opening ceremony for the company’s newest community in Middle Tennessee will take place on Dec. 13, from 3-6 p.m. with a formal program and ribbon cutting starting at 4 p.m. Mayor Paul Webb will speak along with State Senator Jack Johnson, Brad Dunn, chairman of the board for the Williamson County Chamber, Tiffany Mann with the Mid South Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association and Buzz Cason, local musician.

The Ravenswood High School JROTC will conduct a special flag ceremony. Rising young artist, Jackson Nance will perform the song of dedication and Loco Vibrato will provide a mix of cowboy instrumentals and gringo jazz. More than 300 guests are expected to turn out for the grand opening festivities and tour the new facility which includes an indoor amphitheater and interactive model train in the courtyard.

In tribute to historical Forge Seat, located adjacent to Morning Pointe, photographs depicting the area’s history and antebellum culture, along with the history of neighboring towns, fill the walls of the new building.  These photos and themed life enrichment areas depicting nostalgic scenes of the past add to Morning Pointe’s specially developed “Meaningful Day” programming. This programming is based on Morning Pointe’s extensive experience in the senior care industry and the latest in Alzheimer’s research focusing on each person’s interests and life experiences, allowing for a “personalized” versus a “one size fits all” life enrichment program.

The new community will provide clinical oversight by licensed nurses, assistance with activities of daily living and restaurant-style dining.  Other services and amenities will include medication management, transportation, a beauty/barber shop, an enclosed courtyard and a broad range of care tailored to individual needs.

Morning Pointe of Brentwood is conveniently situated near Cool Springs shopping, established neighborhoods and schools. The assisted living community will employ more than 50 full- and part-time staff and provide a positive economic impact of more than $8 million annually considering payroll, property taxes and the local purchase of goods and services.
