The Chattanooga Sigma Chi Alumni Chapter has donated a second gift of $2,400 to the Children’s Hospital Foundation with proceeds from their 103rd Annual Alumni Fall Homecoming Golf Classic held at the Brainerd Golf Course.

A total of $4,800 has been donated to purchase eight iPads for use by the Children’s Hospital Child Life department for use as distraction to bring "critical moments of joy and comfort to children undergoing stressful procedures during their stay in the hospital."

This latest donation represents a little over half of the total 15 iPads donated by the community for use by the skilled Child Life Specialists at the region's only hospital dedicated to specialized child care. The Children’s Hospital at Erlanger is a member of the nationally recognized Children’s Miracle Network hospitals, which is a national philanthropy supported by the Sigma Chi International Fraternity founded at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 1855.
