Undefeated Notre Dame won the Region 4 A-AA boys tennis title and improved to 15-0 with a 4-0 win against visiting Livingston Academy Friday at the Champions Club.

At No.1 singles, Charles Jabaley improved to 17-0 on the season as he defeated Tyler Tolhurst, 6-1, 6-0.

Other Irish winners were J.R. Davis, Thomas Gaudin and Jay Nguyen.

"I am so pumped that we won the region and am looking forward to our match next week with Collegedale for the sectional title," said Jabaley  whose older brother, Chip, was on the Notre Dame state runner-up team of 2010.

"We have all worked hard this season and i am proud of what we have accomplished, but we are not done."

First District Title: Livingston Academy won its first tennis district title in school history.

"Our three seniors in the lineup today (Tyler Tolhurst, Jordan Murphy and Ryan Wilson) have been part of our program for four years and it's great for them to lead us to our first district title," said Livingston coach Christie Jenkins now in her seventh year as head tennis coach.

The Wildcats lost two district matches during the regular season, but won the district tournament.

Sectionals: Notre Dame (15-0) travels to Collegedale (16-2) next Friday for the sectional championship with a trip to BlueCross Spring Fling XX on the line ... Collegedale was state runners-up in 2012 and the Irish were state runners-up in 2010.
