Effie  “Granny Church”  Mccormick,  92,  of  Chickamauga, GA, died  Wednesday, June 12, 2013.

She  is  a  member  of  the  Way  of  The  Cross  Baptist  Church.

She was preceded  in  death  by  her  husband, Tomas  “Tom”  McCormick;  parents,  Willie  “Red”  and  Pearl  Cockran;  son,  Paul  McCormick;  great-grandchild,  Eric  McCormick;  sisters,  Grace  Nave,  Mary  Ware  and  Sue  Ware;  and brothers,  Watt  Crockran,  Walter Crockran  and  Charlie  Crockran.

She is survived  by  sons,  Robert (Thelma)  McCormick  and  Tommy  (Susan)  McCormick;  sisters,  Doris  Autery,  Joyce  Russell  and  Myrtle  Butler;  brother,  John  Crockran;  grandchildren,  Darlene  Mullis,  Perry  McCormick,  Irene  McCormick,  Paula  Barnes,  Andy  McCormick,  Sandy  Dunn  and  Rachel  Dunn.

Funeral  from  the  Way  of  The  Cross  Baptist  Church  will be Friday, June 14  at  2 p.m.  Service will be  conducted  by  Rev.  Oscar  Stapp. Pallbearers  are  Curtis  Frashier,  Cliff  Frashier,  Robbie  Frashier,  Robert  Barnes,  Andy  McCormick,  Perry  McCormick,   Josh  Barnes  and  Ben  Harrison. Interment will be  in  the  Coulter  Cemetery.

Family  will  receive  friends  at  the  funeral  home  Thursday, June 13  from  6-8 p.m.

The  arrangements  are  by  Wallis-Wilbanks  Funeral  Home,  LaFayette.
