Wayne Tilley
Wayne Tilley “Papaw”, 87, of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, died on Tuesday, June 18, 2013.
He was a member of Battlefield Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Bonnie Tilley.
He is survived by his daughter, Jeanette Weaver (Danny); grandchildren, Robyne Holden (Braden) and Kevin Weaver (Cathy); great-grandchildren, Ryne Holden (Ariel), Caleb Weaver, Seth Weaver and Cory Holden; great-great-children, Mattox and Brooklynn Holden; nine brothers and sisters, Faye Blanks, Dale Tilley, Jim Tilley, Pat Betty, Carolyn Carden, Jerry Tilley, Larry Tilley, Diane Cowart and Don Tilley and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Rock Spring Baptist Church from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, June 24, and 10:30–11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25.
The Reverend Jerry Atkins and the Reverend Kevin Weaver will conduct the service at 11:30 a.m. in the church.
The Reverend Brian R. Kurtz will conduct the committal service at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. following the funeral.
