Police Blotter: 14-Year-Old Boys Sparring Over 12-Year-Old Girl

Chattanooga Police were advised on a tiff between two 14-year-old boys.

A parent said a boy located in either Alabama or Mississippi had been sending threatening text messages.

The squabble was over a 12-year-old girl.

Employees of Target on Highway 153 said they spotted 25-year-old Brittany Shevon Hardy select a pair of shoes, put them on, and try to walk out without paying.

It was found that Ms. Hardy already had warrants out for her.

She was taken to jail on a charge of theft under $500.

A woman said she was with a man at the home of her child's father on Wilson Street.

She said they heard noise at the door and found that someone was trying to force it open.

The man hurried to the door and put his foot in front of it, blocking the path of the intruder, who then went away.

Police found the door knob was missing.

McKenzie Kelsay of Jackson Street reported the break-in of a Toyota pickup.

A window was broken, causing $200 in damage.

The thief got a $500 touch screen stereo, $1,500 speakers, $1,200 amps and a $100 GPS. Damage to the dashboard was another $250.
