Erlanger To Unveil 2 Hospital Design Concepts Tuesday

New Concepts For Children And Women's Hospital

  • Thursday, October 2, 2014

Elanger welcomes community participation during a special unveiling for design and construction concepts of the new Children and Women’s Hospital during “Reimagining Erlanger” on Tuesday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Tennessee Aquarium IMAX 3D Theater.

Two internationally renowned teams will unveil their architectural design and construction concepts for the new hospital and participate in a question/answer panel discussion at the end of the presentations.

“The design and construction challenge of “Reimagining Erlanger” will allow the community to see plans for the proposed campus revitalization for children and women’s services at Erlanger,” said Bruce Komiske, Erlanger Health System project executive.  “We are looking forward to sharing this phase with the public and allowing individuals the opportunity to give input.  After all, Erlanger and Children’s Hospital are our community’s hospitals, and we believe it is important the community plays an integral role in the concept from beginning to end; seeing the vision, supporting the cause and celebrating the opening.”

Event registration, heavy hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be available in the IMAX Theater lobby from 5:30-6 p.m.  Presentations on the two renderings will begin at 6 p.m. with a question/answer session with the designers and hospital representatives concluding the event at 7:30 p.m.

The event is free, however reservations are required to attend the event.  Attendees can reserve online at www.reimaginingerlanger.eventbrite.com.  For more information, please contact Katie.Dolphin@erlanger.org or call 778-3989.
