Fay Drake
Fay Fisher Helton Drake, 84, of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at her home.
She was of the Baptist faith. She was the daughter of Dillard and Mattie Braswell Fisher. She grew up in Carthage, Tn., where she graduated from Smith County High School. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Baroness Erlanger School of Nursing. For many years she was a nurse in the office of Dr. Isbill, ophthalmologist.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Francis Helton and her second husband, Olin Drake.
Survivors include two daughters, Becky Helton (Danny) Creswell of Knoxville, and Janice Helton (Lebron) Madaris of Ringgold; two sons, Jason (Pam) Helton of East Ridge and Jeff Helton of Ringgold; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 3, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Reverend Daniel Creswell officiating.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 2, at the funeral home.
