James Michael “Jimmy” Johnson, 32, of Hixson, died on Sunday, November 9, 2014.
He was born July 11, 1982 in Chattanooga.
He was a member of Valleybrook Golf and Country club. Jimmy was employed by Electric Power Board. Jimmy was of free spirit and lived life to the fullest. He will be remembered for his infectious smile and laugh. He loved his family and friends and all his golfing buddies. Now he is with part of his family in heaven and now God has a new angel. Mother and Pops will always be lost but he will forever remain in our hearts. What a beautiful soul.
He was preceded in death by “Granny” Sue Craig; “Grandpa” Larry Craig; grandparents, Larry and Bobbye Jones.
Survivors include his parents, Jimmy and Cindy Jones; uncles and aunts: Russ (Shawn) Craig, David (Theresa) Craig, Jeff Jones, Larry (Sharon) Jones and Tom (Laurie) Marsh; and cousins: Dylan, Evan, Samantha, Spencer, Cody, Britney, Lawrence and Jacob.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made the United Way of Greater Chattanooga or a charity of your choice. In memory of Jimmy, please wear golf attire (no jeans allowed, ha ha) on Thursday and Friday
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14, in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Geoff Miller, Blake Spencer, Nathan Corder, John Pruitt, Hogan Coxwell and Gary Baker will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Dylan Craig, Evan Craig, Spencer Craig, Jason Brock, Andy Ward and Jacob Butler.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13, and 12-2 p.m. on Friday at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace, 877-3524.
