Members of the new Baylor Traveling Acting Troupe
A new Upper School theatre troupe has been created at Baylor, giving students more opportunities to perform in a variety of venues and exposure to different audiences.
The group will perform three one-act children’s plays for community service sites in January and February, one for the general public (date TBA) in Roddy Theatre, and a coffee and dessert theatre event for campus families and boarding students on Jan. 24 in the dining hall (sponsored by the Baylor Backers).
Productions include The Ugly Duckling, by A.A. Milne, directed by Byron Wiedeman; A Toby Show, by Aurand Harris, directed by Beth Gumnick; and Chanticleer and the Fox, by Joseph Robinette, directed by Beth Gumnick.
Members of the troupe are Johanna Kastenberger, Rose Hutcheson, Marly Toledano, Chapin Montague, Christine Lee, Emma Flanagan, Erin Ray, Margie Hussey, Xander Von Klar, James Hornsby, Stella Buckner, Brandon Townsend, Tommy McFarland, Westin Jarnigan, Carolyn Plantin, Andrew Hoffman, and Dane Hamilton.
