Alberta Clayton
Alberta J. Clayton, 74, died on November 15, 2014.
She was a member of New Horizon Baptist Church where she served on the mother’s board. She retired from Life Care of Missionary Ridge.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Carlis Clayton, one sister, three brothers, and one grandson.
Survivors include her children, Jeffery and Darcy Johnson, Avery (Rhonda) Wright, Joyceland and Elder Terence Wright; sisters, Louise Flanagan, Marie McCoy, Deloris (Melvin) Posley; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be on Friday, November 21, at 1 p.m. at New Horizon Baptist Church, with Dr. Willie Paul Officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
The body will be lie in state after noon on Thursday, Nov. 20, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
