Pankey, Debbie Sue Trentham (Benton)

Debbie Sue Trentham Pankey, 81, of Benton, TN, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014 in a local hospital.

She was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death her husband, James W. Pankey; parents, Ed Tretham and Della Woody; sister, Mildred Nelms; and brother, Marcus “Deano” Trentham.

Survivors include her children, Larry (Debbie) Pankey, Jerry (Cindy) Pankey, Joe (Rhonda) Pankey and Joan (David) Hughes all of Benton and Judy (Bill) Rogers of Cleveland;sisters, Ruby, Kay, Pat, Caroline and Donna; brothers, Dewey, Jay, Eddie, Billy, Dennis and Greg Trentham; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home in Benton with the Reverend David Hicks and the Reverend Ed Trentham officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens with Mitch, Jason, Matt and Clay Pankey, Tyler Hicks, Adam Hughes and Charlie Bradford serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 29 from 6-8 p.m. at the Higgins Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
