Susan Edmondson
Susan Hensley Edmondson, of Hixson, died on Tuesday, March 18, 2014.
Susan was born in Chattanooga and was in the first graduating class of Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe High School in 1973. She was a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Susan taught English at Brainerd, Central High School and Soddy Daisy High School. She was a devoted wife, mother and sister who loved her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Betty Hensley.
Susan is survived by her husband of 40 years, Louvain Edmondson; children, Ryan (Bethany Reed) Edmondson and Blaine (Jason) Kelley; sister, Kay Hensley (Robbie) Parson; aunt, Sylvia (Ronnie) Wendt; and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, and 11 a.m.-1 p.m on Friday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Susan will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 21, at the funeral home chapel with Reverend Joe Dodd officiating. Burial will follow in Tennessee – Georgia Memorial Park in Rossville.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
