Christopher Kilby
Christopher Lee Kilby, 30, died on Saturday, July 12, 2014, in Hixson.
He was born on Feb. 23, 1984, in N. Wilkesboro, N.C. Christopher was a hard working employee of the Chattanooga Zoo. His hard work can be recognized by the detailed completion of the Desert and Forest of the Wild Exhibits of which he was proud. Survivors include his father, Johnnie Mack Kilby Sr. of Salisbury, N.C.; mother and stepfather, Phyllis and Bruce Byrd of Chattanooga; daughter, Ariyah Lee Kilby; his twin brother, Darren Lee Kilby and fiancée, Courtney Ford of Chattanooga; sisters, Jessica Teague and fiancé, Keith Parsons of Lenoir, NC; Natochia and Cedrick Ricks of Chattanooga; brothers, Johnnie Mack Kilby Jr of Lake City, Fl., and Jason and Christal Kilby of Bentonville, Ar.; two stepbrothers and one stepsister in Ohio. Christopher was a loving uncle to nine nieces and 11 nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 18, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace, 877-3524.
