Neppie Ruth Soi, 86, of Tunnel Hill, GA, Sunday morning, September 28, 2014 at the local hospital.
Neppie Ruth was born June 24, 1928 in Fannie County, GA to the late Jess and Hester Elizabeth Phillips Payne; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Eugene Soi; a son, James Soi; daughters and son-in-law, Barbara and John Brogdon, Connie Burnecke and Martha Dean Soi; and sisters, Geraldine Payne and Patsy Whitmire.
Neppie Ruth is survived by her sons, Guy Soi, Jimmy Soi and Michael Soi all of Tunnel Hill, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Annette and Floyd Smith and Juanita Burnecke all of Tunnel Hill and Jeanette Earley of Rocky Face, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Jess and Gina Payne of Dalton, GA; sisters, Teresa Dills of Chatsworth, GA, Glenda Newman of Calhoun, GA, Polly and Robert Dillbeck of Tunnel Hill, GA and Jewell Hunter of Chatsworth, GA; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Neppie Ruth Soi will be held Tuesday, September 30, at 3 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Floyd Smith officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at the Dogwood Valley Baptist Church Cemetery in Catoosa County, GA, with Tony Burnecke, Jason Carter, Brian Carter, Alex Smith, Matthew Hawkins, Shawn Smith, Scott Haynes, Justin Soi and Josh Soi serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5-9 p.m. Monday, September 29 and after 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 30.
