Outdoor Movie Night Featured In Spanish This Saturday

  • Wednesday, September 3, 2014

The East Lake Neighborhood Association is hosting an outdoor movie night at the East Lake Park on Saturday from 9 - 11 p.m. In effort to include the diverse background of the neighborhood, the movie will be featured in Spanish and with English subtitles. Two previous movie nights this summer drew crowds of 100+ people to the neighborhood park, located across from East Lake Elementary School.

Thanks to the Community Cultural Connections grant from Arts Build and support from Bridge Christian Church and the Double Cola Company, this event is offered free to the community.

"The outdoor movie nights give our neighbors a chance to get to know each other and enjoy spending time together in a safe, family friendly environment", says Heather Jones, treasurer of the East Lake Neighborhood Association. "Movie nights are also a great opportunity to celebrate the diversity, community spirit and beauty of our neighborhood".
