BlueCare To Sponsor Free Health Fair And Zumba Class This Sunday

  • Friday, January 16, 2015

BlueCare Tennessee is sponsoring a Faith, Fitness and Family Health Fair this Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at New Monumental Baptist Church. The event will include health screenings and a Zumba class led by Antonio McMath.

The free fair is open to the community and is being held to support the use of BlueCare’s “Lifting our Members” faith-based toolkit, a resource for churches and other places of worship throughout Tennessee. The toolkit can be used to encourage and implement healthy behaviors to help bridge the gap in health care disparities.

The toolkit includes a health care calendar, which focuses on important health issues each month, and a preventive health guide with flyers and information relevant to various health concerns faced by different population groups.
