Joyce Mary Catherine Spurgeon
Joyce Mary Catherine Spurgeon died on Wednesday, January 21, 2014.
She was an educator with the Hamilton County Schools Head Start program for over 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Moore and Caroline Harris and son, Ronald Bush.
Survivors include her daughters, Tammie Jean Jacks, Pamela Kay Bush and Maletha (Ronald) Belgon; aunt, Barbara Jean Worthy; grandchildren, Takiyah (Carlos) Catlett, Lisa (Bobby Truitt) Hubbard, Chaunta Hubbard, Maletha Hubbard, Timothy McBride II, and Lauren Belgon; great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Kevin Adams officiating.
The body will lie in state after noon on Monday, Jan. 26, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
