Abercrombie, Spencer A. "Spud"

Spencer A. "Spud" Abercrombie, 89, died on Saturday, January 24, 2015 surrounded by his family.

He was a World War II veteran of the U. S. Army,  retired from the L & N Railroad, and was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Jo Ann Abercrombie; daughters, Shelly Galloway, Stella Gill and Barbara Nelson; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the Advantage Chapel with burial to follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens West with military honors.
