5th Person Shot In Chattanooga Since Friday

A 21-year-old man was shot in Brainerd early Monday morning, marking the fifth person shot in Chattanooga since Friday. Three of those were in Brainerd.

At approximately 12:38 a.m., Chattanooga Police were notified that a person with a gunshot wound arrived at a local hospital by private vehicle. Investigators responded and interviewed the victim.

Anthony Visher said he was walking on Brainerd Road when he was shot.

The victim did not provide any suspect information to investigators.

Patrol officers were able to locate a crime scene at the 3200 block of Brainerd Road.

Follow-up investigation is being conducted by Violent Crimes investigators.
