William “Bill” Queener, 66, of Cohutta, Georgia, passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruby Queener; niece, Stephanie Smith Faulkner; and great-nephew, Landon Bruce Jackson.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kandy Queener; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Hollie Queener of Pine Mountain, GA and Matthew and Anna Queener of Cohutta; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bobbie and Bruce Haggard and Ella and Don Smith, of Cohutta and Ann and Gary Taylor, of Varnell; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mac and Lynn Allmond of Ft. Oglethorpe; granddaughter, Caroline Cate Queener, who lovingly called him “Po”; and nieces and nephews.
The graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 2 p.m. at the National Cemetery in Chattanooga with Rev. Stephen Streete officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, Oct. 6 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
