Debbie Proctor, a resident of Signal Mountain, died on Sunday, October 4, 2015.

She was employed by Arcade Marketing and was a faithful member of Signal Mountain Church of Christ. Debbie received a bachelor's of science with a major in biology and chemistry from Hardin-Simons University in Abilene, Tx., and a master's in secondary education with a major in biology from the University of Houston in Clearlake, Tx.

Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Roy Smith; and sister, Gay Lynn Copeland.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, David Proctor; daughters, Jennifer (Brian) Curran of Rochester, Minnesota and Elizabeth Proctor, Dallas, Texas; son, Christopher (Ali) Proctor of Signal Mountain; mother, Betty Smith Owassa, Oklahoma; brothers, Tom Smith of Houston, Texas and Eric Smith of Owassa, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Andrew and Julia Curran and Christopher David Proctor; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Signal Mountain Church of Christ with Minister Greg Nance officiating.       

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Breast Cancer Support Services of Chattanooga at www.bcss-chattanooga.org or El Salvador Missions, c/o Signal Mountain Church of Christ.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace, 601 Ashland Terrace, 877-3524.
