The winning continues for the Baylor volleyball team while a season of struggles continues for GPS.
Both teams were in Nashville on Thursday for region matches.
Baylor improved to 38-4 overall and 9-0 in region play with a 25-19, 25-18 and 25-12 win over Brentwood Academy while GPS dropped to 17-26 with a 3-0 loss at Father Ryan, the Lady Irish winning by scores of 25-11, 25-20 and 25-11.
The Lady Red Raiders, playing without leader Gabby Gray for the second straight day as she recovers from a banged-up thumb, got 17 kills from Ally Craig and 11 from Haven Bethune to beat the Lady Eagles for the second time this season.
Sarah Sumida had 17 assists and Lilly Turner a dozen digs for Baylor.
Kate McVay had six kills for GPS while Gabby Hughes had 12 assists and 10 digs to go along with three kills.
