The Chattanoogan Hotel Hires And Promotes Staff

The Chattanoogan, a Benchmark Hotel, has promoted Victoria Grace to the position of conference planning manager and has hired Kareem Funderburk as the hotel’s new guest services manager.  Ms. Grace is now responsible for planning day meetings and conferences at the hotel.  Mr. Funderburk is responsible for overseeing the front office department, managing evening activities and supervising hotel employees.  

Ms. Grace has worked at The Chattanoogan for the past five years.

 In her most recent role, she was the conference concierge and worked directly with guests to ensure their experience at the hotel exceeded their expectations.  She also planned and coordinated multi-day conferences for groups and oversaw conference logistics.  Before being promoted to conference concierge at The Chattanoogan, Ms. Grace was a banquet server at the hotel for three years.   She also worked in banquets for four years at Cajun Cookers in Jackson, Tn.  Ms. Grace graduated from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a B.S. in Entrepreneurship and plans to pursue her Master’s Degree.  

Before recently relocating to Chattanooga, Kareem Funderburk was a customer service representative and program operations executive at Celgene, a global biopharmaceutical company in Berkeley Heights, N.J.  Mr. Funderburk also spent five years working in various positions, including regional scheduling lead and customer service representative, at Johnson & Johnson.  He is a talented musician who has performed all over the U.S. and has directed choirs since he was eight years old. Mr. Funderburk studied Communications at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, N.J.
